Non-Igbo Actors Hardly Get Roles In English Home Videos” – Nollywood Actor Yinka Smart

To be a star is not an overnight job. Ask our current superstars,they will tell you how they crawl to the top. Joseph Benjamin was once a bus conductor but today he is a made superstar. No doubt,you have to be consistent and hard working to be at the top of your game.

One young man who is ready to shake the Nollywood industry with his acting prowess is Adeyinka Adefure. Yinka Smart has been consistent over the years and has featured in both english and yoruba films.

He cut his teeth in the industry when he featured in the movie “Oga”(Chameleon). His happiest moment was the day he was called for a lead role in the movie DESPERATE MILLIONAIRES with some of the Top Actors in the industry. He has however featured in several other flicks like ‘Omotara Johnson, Iwa, Needles Eye and classic Mnet TV series Tinsel.

While speaking with me on his challenges in the industry,Yinka said “the only challenge I have then was acting with the english people (home video)Then,(referring to 5+years ago) once you are not an igbo guy, you hardly get roles. Thank God for My Late Boss,Prince Alade Aromire and also to the new AGN President,Ibinabo. She has really shown us that she’s a great leader”

Yinka Smart is desirous to be Nigeria’s best movie director in the next five years. We wish him good luck.
